Default Manual CCT

Where can I buy a Manual CCT for a 2006 ZZR600 (2002 ZX6R)?

Thanks man.

That's the manual one right? Not the automatic?

I'd just go w/ the automatic, it's much more worry free.

When I get parts I ususally hit up www.RonAyers.com & get their price, then go to a local dealership & ask them if they'd be willing to price match it... They usually do.

Worry free? Ever had one fail? Lots of worries then. I've never heard of a manual tensioner failing.

If you're talking about adjusting them. Well, that's not hard at all, very easy actually.

EDIT: I'm surprised such an experienced "racer" like you doesn't know that, since most guys that race their bikes switch these in for peace of mind.

Well, I've got over 23k hard miles on my bike, I've never had any issues w/ the CCT and I haven't heard of anyone else w/ our bike that has had problems, racer or not.

I'm just saying I prefer the automatic because it's a set it & forget it part and it's not a common part to fail on our bikes. If you wanna get a manual one, that's perfectly fine, I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't.

Gee, thanks for your opinion!

I've got 7900 miles on mine and it's going out. Now you've heard of it.

It's called making an honest attempt at being helpful. You're welcome.

wouldnt there be some drilling involved to use the manual tensioner.

No drilling. It's a direct swap. Here's a picture of the APE Performance CCT

Mine is making a LOT of noise, especially while it's still warming up. It's taking a while to build up tension, since it uses hydraulic pressure via the oil, and isn't tensioning the chain enough and is letting it flop around and make noise. Sounds like rattling marbles. It's not so bad after it has warmed up, but it's still present.
