When its 65-75 degrees outside, my bike runs in the area of 160's. A hot day like today when it's in the 90's my bike runs in the 180's area. Sitting still at lights, it never gets over 210. The fan on these bikes rock.
My bike has seen 235 sitting in traffic for about 45 mins straight.. It was about 85-90* out then.. Man did that suck in full gear..
<3 california's lane sharing, i swore when I got here I would never do it.....WRONG!

With water wetter, ethylene glycol AF and water mine runs in the 160-170 range at speed when it is 90+. It climbs steadily at red lights, but drops quickly when I get moving again. WW certainly helps.

I shut it off and pushed it today waiting to cross the Canadian border when it was reaching upper 230's and my temp warning light went off.
Last week I'm pretty sure I hit 242 or 243 before I turned it off for fear of my engine melting. I don't even live in cali or anything... Buffalo, NY. It was 90-ish both days. I also had on a leather jacket and jeans both days

I say... what's wrong with playing with it?

Was your fan on? I haven't had mine go above the 228 mark yet. Of course I think I've only been out while it was 90+ once and I didn't get stuck in traffic for long. Usually my fan comes on and it drops 3-6 degrees almost instantly.

Right, Thats what happens, but 5-6 cycles later, the temp stops dropping and the fan just stays on..
I wish lane sharing was legal here...
