Default Finally got my bike back from the dyno..

I didn't really do a stock run so I can't really tell how much it really improved but heres what I did..

Yosh slip on + ignition advancer - 95.52

Yosh slip on + ignition advancer + jet kit + air filter - 99.63

All those above + UK CDI - 98.21

So yea, the UK ECU made me lose HP.. He ran it 20 times and every time it came up the same less then with the Stock ECU.. He ran them side by side for me and showed me the difference.

I have a couple dyno sheets I can post up once I get to work tomorrow.

He said his dyno is on the conservative side and should produce real #'s unlike some of the shops that tell you what you want to hear.

He even gave me a sheet with a 05 zx6r, 06 zx6rr, and my bike plotted against each other.. Mine was above all of them until 11k rpm then the cam profiles + the fuel injection on the newer bikes take over compared to mine.

The zx6r with a pipe n power commander put down 107 on his dyno...

I'm gonna go ride it some more..

Just got back from a ride on my favorite twisties and I can definitly feel the difference.. Before this was done there was a hiccup in first gear around 8k.. thats gone.. And off/on throttle transition is a lot smoother.. Prior to this there was a slight hesitation before acceleration would begin..

The power is pretty good.. I'm happy with the results..

yup, those numbers sound about right. Interesting about the Euro ECU. I wonder what it woulda been w/ the euro ECU & no ignition advance.

What was the A/F like w/ the euro ECU? were the carbs tuned properly for it?

Are you sure you got the UK ECU or did you get the California ECU (or some other)?

I don't have time to look up for various part numbers at the moment. Where did you get the part?

I'm pretty sure it was the UK.. I got it from deathace on his group buy on kawiforums.com

The guy said it was simply too far advanced with the UK in there with the Ignition advancer on the crank.

Deathrace's ECU's are definitely UK spec.

So what did you end up doing, running the advancer w/o the UK ECU?

Yea, for right now.. I'm contemplating taking out the advancer and tossing in the uk ecu... Just to see if there is a difference..

Might be a good idea just to see. Thanks for the real world HP figures on this.

I'm thinking 100 is enough for this old guy but would like to see more for your sake.
