How often do YOU change your synthetic oil?
Maxum4 Blend Synthetic Oil is what I have been using but I am curious how often you change your oil if your using a synthetic oil brand..

OMG...FULL synthetic doesn't need to be changed till at VERY LEAST 5,000 miles....2,000 miles is just a waste of money. Why pay so much more if you're changing it out as often as standard oil should be?

+1, I have a little over 2000 miles on my bike. I changed the oil at 500 mi. with reg.oil then at 800 mi. I switched to kawi.syn.,I'm not gonna change it again untill 5000 mi. Thats the purpose of syn.oil. I change the oil in my vehicles every 15,000 mi. I use mobil one in the vehicles with no problems so far.

I like the feeling of new oil, whether its just the fun of doing the change itself or just knowing its fresh oil. 25$ doesn't seem like such a waste to me.. I do about 2,000 miles in 2 months.. So it works out anyway.

I talked to my Kawi tech today at my dealer and he said to NOT put synthetic oil in our bikes till 6,000 miles to allow everything to seat properly. And it's possible to change the oil TOO often. He said stick with the regular Kawasaki Petroleum based oil till 6,000 miles THEN switch to full or part synthetic after that if desired.

The kawasaki oil + filter I bought at the dealer cost me over 40$.. For dino oil..
Rotella T Full Synthetic is 16$ for the gallon.. + 5$ for a purolator filter 25$ total..
16/4 = 4$ per quart..
IDK what synthetic you buy..
