Default home made

If anyone is interested....

Went to the local hardware store and picked up a piece of sheet metal.
Made my own fender eliminator and "undertail" filler piece. Painted it all with a left-over can of that "roll on" truck bed liner.

Pretty happy with it considering it cost me $8 and a few hours time. No professional job, but works for me.

In the first pic you can see a couple of the rivets I used to fasten the new sheetmetal to the remaining plastic fender liner I did not cut out.

Thanks for looking.

I should have went that route myself. I bought the COMPETITION WERKES eliminator and man what a rip off. Bolts were missing with this kit and the intructions (on paper AND email) SUCK and cant even read them for the most part. Pat yourself on the back, you were smarter than me!

I cut off as little as possible, and with the undertail filler piece I made, I still got to keep my storage under the seat. I can take a pic if anyone is interested.

did the same here, my license plate came with a sheet metal behind the plates about 6 x 8, so mine was at no cost unless you consider the 9500 i spent on the bike itself but good mod.

Here are the pics.
I really should have taken more time cutting out the fender, but I had other things going on that day. Plus it was a PITA.

wow mang, that is a really good job!! Why is the plate so big?? Is that a State requirement? Otherwise, that looks almost factory smooth.
