Yoshimura RS-3 Bolt-on Exhaust (this makes my bike roar!)
Front flush-mounted clear signal lights (had to shave down my intake to fit)
Fender Eliminator
Clear Integrated Back Signal Lights/Brake Lights
Billet Lowering Links and Custom Shaved frontseat (I'm only 5'1")
(I had to lower my bike 1 3/4" in the front 3 1/2" in the back (approximately))
JP Racing Black Frame Sliders/ Smoke Windshield (forgot maker)
Progrip Carbon Fiber Tank Protector
SportVue HMD MC1
Custom Pink 10mm LED's thoughout the bike courtesy of my man (changing to violet)
That's it for now.

Does anyone have or know where to find instructions on making a seat cowl from an old seat. I know that you use fiberglass and bondo. I am looking at this as a cheaper alternative to Pyramid and Targa.

An unpainted Targe solo seat runs about $115. IMO that's worth it for NOT having to fiberglass/bondo. Keep in mind you'd have to make a bracket somehow to allow for your home made solo seat to lock into place like the stock seat does..the Targa comes with everything needed.

I have been wanting to lower my 06 and wanted to know how much it will affect my street riding, and if it is worth it to do? I am a bit short and tip toe to hold the bike up. would love to be flat footed...also looking into an extended swing arm, any ideas as to the best way since no one makes one?
Thanks

Shave the seat down. Remove the upholstery & shave the seat foam. You can usually get your feet planted firmly w/ a thinner narrower seat and not have to lower a bike which costs a good amount of money & can disrupt the handling.
Unless you're 5 feet 0 inches, i always have a hard time recommending you lower a bike... people always do it the wrong way & it ends up skrewing up the handling.
If you do it, do it right & bring it to a suspension specialist like www.gmdcomputrack.com

I was basically told by a guy here that does work on bikes, all aspects, that he can help me set it up, but any kind of lowering would be more of a hinderance to the bike, unless its for drag racing...but since I am wanting to go to track days and get seat time, and get into some club racing i want the bike to be as nimble under me as possible

Ya, if you want a flickable bike, don't mess w/ lowering. I know a bunch of short people that race who can barely touch both their toes on the ground at the same time. Most of the time they have to slide off to one side or the other & only put one foot down. Only time it's an issue is when they're trying to back their bike up. In which case they either get off the bike or get someone to help push em back.

I heard that if you want to race the bike and you lower it go with a 160 back tire instead of the 180 thats on there and it will help with the handling. Dont quote me on it. Just what i heard. I dont race i customize.

Those blue lights look pretty good, but I don't "show" my bike too often. Wouldn't be worth it in my book, but they do look nice and bright!
