as i said, the "E" series was the generation before the J series; it was heavier, had less hp, smaller brakes, etc. the previous generation ZZR6, therefore, at least in the states, was based on this older gen platform.

limited info here: http://www.zx6e.net/forums/index.php?act=models

if you are asking because you are trying to figure out which parts from an E will fit J, I am uncertain, but there may be users on www.zx6e.net who could help.

Hey guys new here. Don't know how this works. I will pick up my 07 tomorrow. Hard for me to find the person who owns the bike with akra pipe on it. If you have akra pipe on your bike please email me at wordco99@hotmail.com, I would like to know what the part number is and how much it costs. Thanks

He posted in this thread. Send him a PM. He's a very nice guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him during my 4th of July trip to Deals Gap this year. I'm sure the Akra pipe fitment chart is the same as the Yoshimura fitment chart. If you get one for a 2000-2002 ZX6R it should fit. If there is anyway I can help please let me know. Ride Safe, Jay

To be honest with you, I have no idea. If you read editorials on the ZZR 600 ,you get so many different numbers as far as horsepowers. All i can tell you is that the improvement is unbelievable. I thought those pipes was all noise or cosmetics. The performance with yoshi is unbelievable. I got my suspenion adjusted to my weight and titanium yoshi, and I am loving my bike. The power and speed is incredible!!!!!

111 crank hp.

a good slip on only will net between 3 to 5 hp, and if you're lucky, a couple lb-ft of tq.

Cool zzr600 exhaust

I have had my bike now for a little over 2 months. Last night I added a Yoshi RS-3 bolt on pipe and was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it sounded over the stock one. I liked it so much I rode to work today...it was 35 degrees out. I also added a zero gravity black windshield to match the bike. I love the way it looks & sounds.

My bike is performing! I was on freeway in 4th and i took it up to 120 mph in secs. Today, I took the bike up to 140 mph in 5th gear. My bike feel like it's on steroids. My bike before the yoshi seem to be choking. I am able to get up to speeds in 4th gear I wasnt cable of before at lower rpms. Before I always rode my bike in 6th when on freeway, but now 4th gear is the gear of choice when driving on freeway going 65-75 mph in carpool lane. Don't know if this make sense, but that is what I am expericing and enjoying. To be frank, I didn't understand the ethusiasm for this ZZR 600 Forum or this bike. Now, I love my bike!!!! I wanted to upgrade to ZX-10R now I feel it's pointless. Just my 2 cents. Get rid of them stock pipes!!!! The CA stock zzr pipe really chokes this bike. Go get your YOSHI now!!!! I tried the Carbon Akra and I didnt get the performance I am getting with Yoshi.
