Default rice rocket racks

I do not know if you are tired of back packs while riding your bike. I found an interesting site thanks to Cycle World. You simply remove your back seat and replace it with the rack.

I just need them to make it for the Kawasaki zzr600s. So if I can let's get some interest for our zzr600, and e-mail them requesting them to make it for our bikes.

Thanks

If they have one for the 00-02 ZX6R it will work!

I bought a tank bag and a good sized tail bag and the total for both was less than the cost of that rack, not to mention it needs a mounting kit.

there's a review of that rack in the new supercycle magazine (or was it cycleworld? I don't remember). They said it's ok, but they weren't real impressed with the mounting IIRC.

It says down in the bottom of the home page that they make one for the ZX6R and the ZX10. If the one for the ZX6R is for a 98-02 ZX6R it will fit.

The 2005-2008 ZZR600 has one gas tank! It holds at total of 4.8 gallons of which 3.7 is available until you have to switch to reserve to use the remaining 1.1 gallons of gas.

Kawasaki changed some of the mounting and cosmetics in the 2005 model.

PER Kawai, come of the 00-03 zx6r parts will not fit the 2005-current zzr600.

I found this out when Givi sold me a 2002 Tubular mounting kit for hard bags. IT would never have fit!! At least I got a full refund.

I bought this rack for my '09 CBR1000RR. I tried installing it, and it didn't fit.
There was no clearance between it and the bodywork, and the part that locks into the latch didn't even come close to lining up.

I called the owner, Bert Lu and expressed my concerns and disappointment with the quality and fitment. He said the '09 and the '08 were slightly different because Honda made some changes to the bike, which is absolutely ridiculous. My friend has an '08, and we couldn't install it on his either.

He told me to get some washers and shim it up.... which is all fine and dandy, but I had to re-drill new holes for the latch to line up.

This thing is poorly designed, to say the least. It's a good idea for sportbike riders, but badly executed.

That's to bad about the fitment on your HONDA. This thread is specifically about fitment for the 2005-2008 ZZR600 aka 00-02 ZX6R. Which is what the person who originally started the thread asked. Thanks for the input.

Sounds like Kawi misinformed you. 2000, 2001, 2002 mounting cosmetics for the ZX6R are the same and will fit at 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 ZZR600. But in 2003 that's when the cosmetics changed for the ZX6 model. I have an endless list of aftermarket parts on my 2006 ZZR600 that were purchased to fit a 00-02 ZX6R "J" model. Everyone of them fit perfectly. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to disagree with your post.
