I just came here to look for topics on this very subject. I am thinking about a regear as well. I have heard everything from just a -1 in front to a -2 in front and plus 1 in back.
Experiences anyone?

got my gear. But I am concerned they got me a -2 possibly instead of a -1. Is stock 15 or 16 teeth? The one they got me is a 14, and from what I can tell on renthals site, stock is 16 for the 93-06, but renthalss application page is a little confusing for someone like me who doesn't know all the letter and model designations. http://www.renthal.com/cw_master_page.asp?make=6

ok, looks like the rear is a 40, front is a 15 according to the owner's manual. So my 14 should be ok.
This thing brings the tire up pretty easy as it is..I wonder how wild it's going to be on a -1
