Default Headlight adjustment?

Lowered my bike an inch and a half tonight. on the ride home I noticed the headlights are too high now. How do I adjust them?

Oh, and a tip for anyone considering lowering their bike. DON'T FORGET to plan ahead fo the kickstand. We lowered 1.5 inches and then had to take a little over 3/4 out of the kickstand. Otherwise it stood near straight up.

But anyway, back to the headlights. Tips? Right now, my high beams are worthless.

Default

I replaced the stock bulbs with Xenon Quartz Cyber White headlight bulbs XQ-H4WPK and the center light bulb Xenon Lightning Whiter 12V5W XL-194WK. Big difference from stock. Much brighter. Brighter is safer

Source: Kawasaki ZX6R Motorcycle Service Manual Part# 99924-1254-04

Electrical System 15-51

Headlight Beam Horizontal Adjustment
*Turn the horizontal adjuster(A) on the headlight in or out until the beam points straight ahead. (This adjuster knob is located on the lower inside of each headlight in the headlight assembly.

Headlight Beam Vertical Adjustment
*Turn the vertical adjusters(B) on the headlight in or out to adjust the headlight vertically.(Adjustment knobs located at the top outer side of each headlight)

*On high beam, the brightest points should be slighty below horozontal with the motorcycle on its wheels and rider seated. Adjust the headlight(s) to the proper angle according to local regulations.
* For US model, the proper angle is 0.4 degrees below horizontal. This 50 mm (2 inch) drop at 7.6 meters (25 ft) measured from the center of the headlights with the motorcycle on its wheels and rider seated.

This is right out of the service manual that I bought at my local Kawasaki Dealership. Hope this helps. Rocket

Having trouble finding parts for your 2005-2008 ZZR600? Try searching for parts that will fit a 2000-2002 ZX6R "J" model.

The 2005-2008 ZZR600 has one gas tank! It holds at total of 4.8 gallons of which 3.7 is available until you have to switch to reserve to use the remaining 1.1 gallons of gas.
