First off I'm a fat a$$ compared to most the riders on here. I'm 6' 265
Honestly, as most people will agree the helibars are over priced for what they are. I'm mostly touring straight aways here in IL. Did it make the bike more comfortable...Yes, Handle better...maybe. Can I ride longer with them.....heck yes.
They are easy to put on, It's getting the old ones out thats a pain
for $209 spend it on a something else. Unless money is no option.
What gave me the most comfort was the corbin seat, what a BIG difference.

Let me know if you have any questions, or want pics of what the bars look like

Are you putting your weight on your wrists? If you are leaning forward and putting your upper body weight on your wrists that will most certainly cause pain. Try to support your weight with your abs/lower back and think of the bars as a control input device, not to rest your weight on. You should have a light touch on the bars.

Riderrick, I didn't see you were from IL. Next time I head down to ISU I'll let you know, and you can see the bars firsthand. Stinks that the school year is almost over for the kids, I'm not sure when the next time I'll be down is. But if I ever head south (from Chi) I'll let you know

Try a crampbuster - it may help. It is a piece of plastic that goes around the throttle so you don't have to twist the grip, you just rest your hand on the plastic 'lever'. I tried one, but I could not get used to it being on there.

Yes I shortened it myself. Everything was done by myself on this other than the paint work. The shortened can sounds AMAZING compared to the stock length Two Brothers.

In case anybody is interested on what is needed to make the ZX10 wheels work as this took me a full night testing parts from the ZZR and ZX10 here is what you need:
Rear:
Take bearings along with axle out of your OEM ZZR wheels and install in ZX10 wheels. You will need to make a spacer to go between your caliper and the swingarm as the ZZR swingarm is just a hair wider. ZZR sprocket and brake disk mount perfect. Now enjoy your new ZX10 rear wheel with a 190 rear tire .
Parts list:
ZX10 Wheel
Small spacer for right side of swingarm

Front
You will need EVERYTHING from a ZX10 for this to work. Only ZZR part you will use is the axle bolt that runs through the center of the wheel as the bearings are same inner diameter. There are two spacers in between the bearing and the fork. The ZZR spacer is far too wide so you MUST purchase from a ZX10. You will also need ZX10 rotors. That is all
Parts List:
COMPLETE front wheel assembly from a ZX10

Regards,
Robert

In February of 2006 I made my request to the production manager at MRA in Germany with great hope that I would get a yes for the go ahead for production of the MRA Vario Touring Screen for the 2005-2008 ZZR600. And I did, The MRA Vario Touring Screen that is currently installed on my 2006 ZZR600 had a production date of February 10, 2006 and was the first one produced in the world to fit the ZZR600. It was imported into the U.S. using TwistedThrottle.com which is an importer of MRA and other European brands of motorcycle parts and accessories. Just my little contribution the motorcycle world my friend. I actually wrote a product review on the twisted throttle.com website and posted pictures of my ZZR in it's early stages of what it has evolved into presently. I hope you enjoy the product as much as I do. Regards, Jay

@jjb:

Very clean. Gotta love that black.

BTW, What did you use to paint your clutch cover and the thingy on the other side? Did you do it yourself?
