Default 06' zzr600 Exhaust Qustion

Ok I want to put either an entire system on the bike or maybe just a bolt-on. But I was wondering is anything that is compatible with the ZX6R 98-02' compatible with the 06' zzr600?

I also saw some Micron Systems that is compatible with the 05' that looks hot, but I would rather go with a Yoshi pipe that does not list the ZZR.

One last question, is a system worth the extra money over a bolt on?

Thanks for any help

Yes the 98-02 is the same as the new ZZR. Unless you plan on racing most people are satisfied with a bolt on. I plan on a bolt on here pretty soon my self. I will also add a K&N filter. Usually you can get by without re-jetting but if you do a full exhaust I would recommend re jetting.

Full exhausts cost too much and take too much asspain to fine tune for the relatively minor power increase they provide IMO, esp on a carbed bike

Don't put a Yosh pipe on a Kawy bro.

Yosh is a Suzy pipe. Great on a gixxer but for the Kawy...

Go with Akropovic for the Kawy.

The best thing to do for the ZZR for overall best ratio of performace increase with cost efficiency is to put a slip on Akro pipe and re-jet the carbs. This bike will kick ass with this mod that you can do for around $600-$700 professionaly.

Stainless Steel Oval Yoshimura RS-3. Great sound, I also noticed a big difference in the throttle repsonse after the installation. Here's where I got mine from it's the cheapest I have found. Get the one for the 98-02 ZX6R, $249.00

No need to rejet with a slip on. I did shim my carb needles. That really helped allot with the mid range power band.
