Default internatrix motorcycle alarms

Anyone here have any opinion or any experience with Internatrix (http://internatrix.com/) motorcycle alarms. I've read the page through and through and it looks like it's a great deal. Comparing to, say, Scorpio's $300 alarm that does mainly the same stuff. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of them before or used one.

I just ordered one, and when I hook it up I'll post my opinions on the whole process, but everything on their site seems to line up (at least in the technical detail they go into regarding the wiring and circuitry). Seems straight to me....

ahhh man, the alarm works great, i have fun at our bike nights and such beeping the alarm at people as they walk by or if someone goes to look at teh bike. it will beep at them like get the fuck away and if the person doesn't get away teh alarm will sound a perimiter alarm. I havent installed the anti-hijack accesorry yet only because it has to do with teh ignition and i don't want to mess anything up, but the alarm works great you can arm silently so you can arm it without the perimiter sensor, its really wicked cool

yeah I had a friend at best buy install it while I was working last night and he hooked the antihijack to the kickstand. works. also put the LED directly above the brake lights (small little hole driled). I'm figureing out the use of it and I need to adjust the perimeter sensor thing too.
So far, quite satisfied, especiallly for $140!!

If I would have done the install I'd have taken pics. I think I'd have been yelled at for hanging out in the bay and taking pics on the clock...

does the internatrix have the same paging system that scorpio has and what's the range(i.e 1/2 mile, etc)

it uses radio frequency (RF) to page and receive signals, like the scorpio's do, but on different frequencies of course. The rated range is 1/2 mile but if you have ever experienced ratings like these (such as with walkie talkies) you'll know they are embellishments. I'm sure it'd go half a mile on a nice cool day, flat land, and clear sight of bike. But for normal conditions, which for me are behind a series of thick walls in the physics department, it won't go half a mile. But it's to be expected. No other remote alarm would work either unless they use a more penetrating signal than RF.

I was at the bar last night and it worked in there, where I was probably a hundred yards away. Luckily too because a few drunk people were getting a little to close to her. Then the LOUD LOUD siren went off and they backed off.

Let me reemphasize that the siren is quite loud.

Well worth the $140. I recommend not hooking up the anti-hijack feature though for two reasons: The first, the main one, is that it has this stupid reminder thing when you turn ignition off that the siren chirps three times, very loudly. Bad thing when coming home from bar at 3am. Second, if someone's stealing the bike, what are the chances they're gonna try using the key?

So I'll be unhooking the brown wire tonight probably (the antihijack wire).

you may have an issue with the perimeter sensor on and if it were windy then the movement of the cover could set off the alarm too but as for it reducing range or anything, it shouldn't. Unless you're covering it in a metal shield. Any alarm should be equally affected by a cover.
