Default frame sliders for 06 ZZR600?

I just got this bike, upgrading form a '95 Ninja 500 (let me tell ya, this bike kicks its ass and I'm still in breakin!). Anyways, I'm looking into frame sliders and a search on the internet turns up nothing, the dealer I bough the bike from doesn't have the new parts catalog in, and I stopped by my trusty bike mechanic around here and he took a look, said that the engine mount is good on the right side of the bike but that on the left the engine mount is behind the coolant reservoir and behind the fairing itself, so I'd need to a) drill a hole and b) reposition the reservoir somehow.

Short of drilling a hole in my brand new baby, any ideas? I'm weighing the hole and the body work I'd need to do after a drop/slide and the hole wins out there. Still I hope there's something better!

thanks
bret

They sell frame sliders to fit your bike. I have bought two sets for mine. no drilling necessary. Just check out ebay or where ever for the zzr or you can try a zx6r 98-02. Those will fit. No drilling. http://www.ronayers.com/catalogs/pu/...d=112&type=530 I really like these vortex sliders but i haven't bought any. I usually just buy off of ebay, just search for ninja and find the right years that will fit.

thanks for the link. do you know if they attach to engine mount on both sides or does it go on the fairing connector on the left? Because the dude I spoke with said if I put it there and did have to lay it down that the bolt would just bend and break because it's a small bolt, not like an engine mount bolt. you said you had two sets. front and back? where do the backs mount? I think 05 and 06 zzr600 are identical right?
*shrug*

Yeah they are the same. The sliders i have go in the bolt that is close to your knee. The upper most bolt towards the seat that is on the fairing. i laid mine over and it didn't break. Did what it was supposed to but i highsided it when it was cold and i was only going 10 mph. They worked on both sides. lets just say it was a bad day when i tested them both but they worked. But yeah there is no cutting and the second set is a swing arm spool/ slider.
