ifgshooter, did you have to cut and modify the stock mudflap/plate holder for your fender eliminator kit? The stock unit looks to be one piece starting at the front of the subframe.

Thanks for all the info, and your bike looks great.

I had to cut it right about where the velcro u-lock strap is in the trunk. The whole trunk bottom from there back is gone. But it is replaced with the fender eliminator kit. You dont really lose any trunk space, it just changes the overall interior shape of the trunk. Just be careful when you cut because you can cut away excess plastic but not add to it too easily, I actuaaly have a 10mm gap where the plastic and metal fender kit meet. A little black silicone will hide that easily enough. Oddly enough, I used a drywall jab saw to cut the plastic fender because I broke my last utility knife blade and it was 10:00PM. Actuall turne out OK. The fender kit hid all the rough edges that I didn't get smooth enough.

I got my Gregg's flushmounts installed sunday. I originally wanted the amber lenses but ordered the clear by mistake. I think the clear looks nicer. I'm just waiting for my LED tail lights and load resistors too come in the mail so I can stop the hyper flashing of the turn signals. Getting the resistors and LED's from http://www.superbrightleds.com/ I also have a set of Pazzo racing levers on order.

are those flush mounts the $100 + ones? If so how easy was the install and how do they look when flashing?

Got them from 58 cycle http://store.58cycle.com/ They ran me $118.00, the ambers are $108.00 both are free shipping. Fit and finish are great, but you have to remove the upper fairing/headlight/windshield assembly. It only takes about 10 minutes to remove. They do flash fast but I installed a set of load resistors tonight and now they flash normally. They are LED's and my rear signals are regular bulbs so you need the resistors to slow the flash rate. I put off buying them for a year till I could find something better but these are the best I've found, so I finally broke down and got 'em. You can get the resistors and LED bulbs at http://www.superbrightleds.com/ low prices and fast shipping.

Hey ifgshooter...your bike looks good bro! Thinking about gettin the ZZR decals off mine also. Like the new turn signals...keep us posted. Hopefully within the next couple of months I can get started on my mods. The little woman still doesnt have a full time job, so I been helping her with her bills. Hopefully something will break soon so I can have some money to play with.

Later!

Thanx for the compliment. I know what it's like with the money situation. We were living paycheck-to-paycheck (barely) then we re-financed the house and payed off all the bills. Two months later we sold our house so we could build a new house, unfortunately i'm living with the in-laws while the house is being finished. On the plus side I have no rent or house payment for a few months so I can afford a few mods here & there as long as they don't get too pricey. Another great point of the house re-fi, it helped pay off my bike. First time in my life i've ever owned a fully paid off bike. Buy the way if you take off the decals do yourself a favor and use the wifes hairdryer. I picked at the stickers for 30 minutes then I checked the forums and everyone said to use the hairdryer, the stickers both came off in a heartbeat.

Yeah the square-white sticker on the frame was a bitch to get off, the the brains of the relationship(my wife) brought me out her hair dryer.
