Default Great weekend ride

Great ride this weekend. Not sure if they have a picture of the bike that was coated in tiger striped fur.
http://www.pacwestsportbikebbq.com/

Got bike back from the shop for its first tune up. I will say it seems to run a little smoother. They made a few adjustments to the clutch and idle. It still makes a clunking noise. And as far as it being MY problem. Lets look at it. I'm sitting in neutral, I pull clutch in fully. I touch no throttle. I step on shifter to put it in 1st and you hear *CLUNK*. Now, maybe I don't race bikes professionally, nor do I claim to be a bike mechanic. I have however owned 11 bikes and started with a mini-bike in the 4th grade (I'm now 33) and never has any of my bikes made this kind of a catch. As for shifting at 10k RPM, I can do that sure, but from 1st to 2nd I would probably be doing close to 50mph and end up a bumper sticker. I also mentioned that it only happens in first 3 gears. So I don't know, maybe I just remember how to shift in 3rd gear and it takes me 3 gears everytime to figure it out. Anyhow, I simply stated what I have observed, this coming from someone who actually owns the bike.

I am excited about the upgrades for my bike. So many things to do.
Getting new exhaust, re-jet carbs, -1 on counter shaft for acceleration, passenger-seat cowl, wire mesh the fairing holes with silver mesh, blue neon for the ground, removing stock blinkers and installing low profile custom blinkers, a blinker SHUT OFF, black leather half tank bra, silver frame sliders, advanced air filter, and cutting down the plastic that holds the license plate.
Then I may have a friend do a new paint job on it, probably wait until I lay it down though since I like the blue.

And so now I have over 1200 miles on it and yes it can pick the front tire up without the clutch. I'm still getting used to the new adjustments so I only take it up bout 6 inches but I'm fairly confident it will go up further. Not gonna try it till I get new mods though, especially my sliders. Anyhow, I will post some pics in a couple of weeks. Parts are being ordered and gonna schedule the work on Thursday.

This bike is the first bike I bought and learned on. I'm pretty happy I chose this bike and its definitely quick enough for me. Also, my friend said my bike is more comfortable then his 05 CBR600RR.

hey, im looking to get a new bike after my first year of college. I saw the zzr 600 at a bike shop and I thought it was gorgeous. 2 questions; does it come with a steering damper (i dont think it does but im not sure) and it it wheelieable? I'm not saying is it a good stuntbike but I do like to launch a wheelie every now and then.

I'm getting this bike for my G/F in 2 weeks. She sat on all of the 600's out there and this one was by far the most comfortable + she could easily reach the ground even though her heel is slightly off the ground..

the riding position is also very good + the stock seat " SEEMED" really comfy vs the other 2005 600's out there.

Default these bikes are terrible

These bikes are horrible. They handle like crap and are pretty much the ugliest bike i have ever seen. Nah just kidding. I like mine alot and just thought i would try to stir this up cause it doesn't seem like anyone even posts in here and i doubt anyone will read this other than me.

Well if this is ever read, should get more posts in here.

It was a good move on Kawi's part to keep this bike in the line up. This and the F4i are way better road bikes than the latest stuck in the crack of your ass 600s.
Now if only they might bring zx9r back...

Default dampener

Since there are only four people on this site that have the zzr, has any of you other three put on a steering dampener? If so what kind?
