02 Zzr
Here's a pic of my 02 which I use a daily transport. Talk about the ultimate sleeper bike, most folks have no idea how fast these things are, straight line or twisties.

aint that the truth. I have over 50000 miles on my ZZR and the dyno shows no drop in HP or TQ. Good for 500+ mile days and super comfy in the twisties.

Wish I could see the pick here at work. Guess I'll have to wait until I get home. I have just over 17K on mine (only 1K are mine though). Picked it up last fall. Ride it 4 days a week now that the snow/ice are gone. Last day is to bring new clothes to work in my other summer toy - 1973 Barracuda w/440. Love the bike and can't wait to start racking up the miles this summer! Definately a beast and everyone here mistakes it for a BMW (large decals removed - and I think the tank badges are coming off next to clean up the look a little more).

That was the first 'mod' to my ZZR...I removed the tank letters and decals.
I slapped a set of these on:

and confuse the crap out of people on a regular basis

Nice! I'll have to see what I can find. I am sure that there are some Porche badges around that are just big enough to be seen.

I love the 14, but I have to admit, if I were forced to chose between them, I'd choose the ZZR over the 14. The ZZR is just more comfortable and practical.

F&D - Have you done any major mods to the ZZR? I've put on a Corbin seat and that is it - no Helibars or Gen-Mars. But I haven't ridden far enough to really see the need yet. I just have to adjust my hand/arm position a little from where it normally would want to be. I also have a Zero Gravity ST windshield on the way to deflect a little more air. Other than that, not sure what I want to do - except add a TomTom Rider 2 when the funds allow.

Yeah I've done quite a bit to the ZZR, all comfort and touring-related (see pic above).
- Russell Day-Long leather custom saddle. Very comfortable and totally worth the money.
- Givi E41 side cases and E360 top case on SW-Motech quick-release racks
- Grip Puppies & tank bra
- Hard-wired for my Garmin GPS and Gerbing heated gear
It's also got Muzzy slipons which were on the bike when I bought it. They sound great but are very loud; pretty well blown-out now after 36,000 miles.

Thanks - I'll have to look at the pic at home - server blocks it here. I also had Muzzy on mine when I got it. Definately loud - I barely pass the dB measurement at the annual inspection (94.7 on a 95 max).

I too have Muzzys slipons and this thing just purrs, '04 ZZR1200. It's not loud or obnoxious at all.
