laid it down this morning...
well, on my way to work this morning, and decided that i'd make it exciting and dump my bike.....
taking a slow right hand turn that ive done a million times, didnt really notice sand/gravel that had accumulated near the curb, back tire slid out, next thing i know, im looking at the sky, and my baby is laying on its side. dammit.
no one to really blame but myself.....thankfully, no serious injuries (had all my gear on (jacket, gloves), except that i have to wear khakis to work), just some rash on the right knee, and a really sore right leg... and, of course, awhole lot of injured pride...been riding for almost four years now, and its been a while since ive done anything this dumb.
bike has rash on the exhaust, midpipe, and right mid-fairing, bent the brake lever into a U....but pretty minor, mostly everything is cosmetic. it just pisses me off since its been in pretty much perfect condition for 2 years now, other than falling over once when my stupid ass was unloading it from a uhaul trailer...
anyway, sorry for the bitching. just needed to vent a lil bit ...i dont post very often. mostly lurk around and read everyone else's stuff. so anyway, everyone be safe and pay attention...sure wish i did this morning.
