Default 94-97 ZX9 Oil Change, Please Help!!!

So I think I'm just gonna pay somebody to do my oil change next time, because I am having a hell of a time with this one.

I have a 97 Zx9 and I have had it for a short time and since I didn't know when the last change was done, I decided to do one myself. I have gotten to the point where I have drained the oil out of the pan and I have the filter off, but I can't get it out of the area between the headers, engine, and the support bar. Its driving me nuts. I called the local dealership and the parts guy that I talk to there (he has a 95 Zx9) said that the filter should just come out between the headers. I took a look at it and there is no way that it would fit through there. I believe that the headers are stock, because when I bought the bike, the guy said he didn't put any aftermarket parts on and it still had the stock can. I can't see a way to get it out other than removing the headers, which I hope is not the case.

If anybody knows how to do this or has any advise, it would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Tony

There is a rubber oil line with a metal end on it that connects to the engine right by the oil filter, it is held on with one bolt, undo that and it will come right out you will just have to lift up on the coolant line, then just dont forget to hook up that oil line when you put it back in.

Ok, I saw that, but didn't know what it was and wasn't sure if I should unscrew it. Is that line pressurized? Do I have to take any particular precautions before or after I remove it?
