Default Front signals

Ok, it seems that everyone here has replaced their front signals with the LP flushmount V's.... has anyone tried any of the short stalk series on the fronts? I'm wondering how they would bolt up? The flushmounts are OK, but I'd rather have the same style in the front as I have in the rear, and think the stalk mounted style would give a bit better visibility than the flushmounts. I saw some interesting bits at www.tricktape.com - basically two pieces of sheet metal and a piece of foam all with a hole in the center used to cover the hole in the fairings and to give you someplace to bolt the new signal to, but they want like $40 for the things.

lockhart phillips sells a similar item (made out of plastic) for $20 a pair. Check out dennis kirk or chapparral.

well just for grins, I decided to check if the stock rear signal rubber mounting grommets would fit in the front signal holes, but alas, they do not - just a hair too small. Oh well, out come the tin snips to make myself some templates and save $40.
