Default Newer 7's in Europe...

What year did they start putting a projector beam on the 7's in europe? Also will it bolt on to a US spec 7?

What do you mean by "projector" beam? Are you refering to the third light just below the windscreen? If so, that is a Euro-model feature. You can add it to a US-spec bike. I would assume you would have to order it from the UK though.

I don't know what year they started but yea, they just bolt up like your normal headlight assembly.

I've got one on mine. I LOVE it. Some people don't like the unbalanced headlights of the hi and low beam, but I'm TOTALLY loving it.

Here's a pic of the headlight turned off.

And here's one with it turned on. It's not as bright as Rotty's Audi TT projectors, but it is like night and day compared to the standard headlights.
I love these projector headlights!

Thanks, but I was wondering if they are cheaper to get in europe. I will be over there in october and was just wondering if it would be worth the wait.

Sorry for the late reply. I got them in the US from a guy in California. He also had a 7R but crashed it.

Man, I don't remember how much I got it for, but I think it was around $200+. Definitely not $300...

My understanding is that those headlights are Euro and Japan spec, so if you are going to Europe (maybe Germany would be a good place), you might be able to grab one.

The best is if you could hook up with a ZX7R club in Europe. I'm sure they can find you a used one much cheaper than a new one...
