Hey folks, I am contemplatign a purchase of a ZX750, one is a 93 that is in good condition, just older. The other is a 2000 that needs a new clutch and carb work.

Problem is I can't find mych info at all on the ZX750 so am not even sure it is a good bike for me.

Any help you guys can give is much appreciated.

What would you like to know? Any certain questions you have about it?

Overall it's a great bike. The first thing people will say is it's a bit hefty compared to the newest bikes but to be honest it still handles great and has plenty of power. I always loved the look of the 96' and newer ZX7R's. I owned a 95' and now a 98'. No complaints.

Well I just got back from checkign out the '00...damn it's nice. It has a salvage title, but the guy who rebuilt it pulled out all the stops...custom silver metallic paint job, all silver accessories were poweder coated a nice metallic blue.

It was the perfect height for me and the riding position is cool. I can pick the '00 up for a song ($1800) cause it needs a new clutch and the carbs cleaned. It's owned by my co-workers brother so not too worried about a bad deal on it. He was going to get it fixed himself, but needs the money for his business right now.

that looks alot like my zx7r

mine is a 94 but i love it. its a VERY heavy bike, but to me it makes it feel more stable. one thing you dont have to worry about is your front wheel coming up, it wont happen on its own.

1800 is a killer deal, just make sure your not buying someone elses problem.

Yeah, I am pretty secure in the purchase...I work with his brother and he laid out every single thing wrong with it...and hooked me up with a local mechanic to fix the clutch and carbs on the side for dirt cheap.

He is expanding his business and needs the cash more than the bike...and said if he fixes the clutch and carbs he knows he will keep it.
