Well , i was riding with my bud (06 R6) he's got about the same mods as i do and off the line he took me but i Quickly closed the gap and passed him(Doing about 110)! I was pretty impressed vs such a light race bike How you guys liking your zx-7r/any good storys?

sweet! you have him in the looks department for sure, and the power as well! IMO the 06 r6 is a the ugliest bike ever produced...EVER

There are a bunch of guys in my area that ride every night and I occassionally race from a stop if there is no one around....I've got a '96 ZX7RR and I left an '06 R6 probably 5 lengths behind me in first gear 'till about 90 then after that it was over, he steadily dropped outta sight...I've done the same with older R6's and GSXR 600's and 750's but not the newer 750's (03-06)...I've even burned an older Busa, but my guess is the guy didn't know how to ride that well.

I'm running -1 +2 Sprockets with 41mm FCR Carbs (Ram-Airbox/no screen in air filter), slipper clutch, and a D&D pipe, 121 HP.

I guess it all comes down to how well you can ride your machine and hit your shifts...going straight isn't that hard...I know a guy who works at a bike shop around here who drags a stock 06 GSXR 750 and he spanked a couple unsuspecting ZX-10's and GSXR 1K's...(Those are just guys in my area, mind you...but it's still funny!) I know if a good rider got on those liter bikes it wouldn't happen.
