Need zx7r motor from 96-03
My 99 zx7r has been down for almost 2 years now due to a crash where I looped it. Haven't been able to find the right mechanic shop to fix the little leak on the corner left of the block. So I have decided to just get a new motor put in. Can anyone help me out? Anyone know who's selling a good reliable motor?

Have you checked Ebay?
How about a motorcycle recycling yard? In the back of the magazines they always list different ones. Check 'em out.

Post up a pic of the hole or crack.

I have tried ebay, but will look into the junkyard ads. If anyone knows of any off the bat, that would really help. As far as the crack, its more like a graze. Already brought it to a bike shop called 2wheel tuning (Located in Monrovia/Arcadia California) and they suck. Promised to fix it and weld it shut, but once bike heated up the leak continued to penetrate their whack weld. Brought it back 2 times w/ the same result. Will take pic though and post it.

Interested in a complete running engine to replace old one cuz that scuffed corner doesn't seem like its weldable. I was gonna use the old engine for spare parts later on, but if I were to find a whole new motor just let me know what parts you need so we can figure out what I can part with.

Don't limit yourself to a ZX-7 motor. The older ZX-9 motors will bolt right in with the BRG conversion kit. It'll boost your midrange and give you and extra 15Hp or so. Believe me, I've done it and it's awesome! It'll cost you a little more than just replacing the ZX-7 motor, but it's worth it.

Exactly what year zx9 (or range of years) motor, and where can I get this BRG conversion kit? Does motor affect handling of bike?
