Default eh, lets be a little more specific

well there was no feedback on the last thread, so i guess i'll try a more specific question. vance and hines' ss pipe seems to be the only exhaust for my '87 750. i've heard it and it sounds a lot better, and with the full system my power curve would be very satisfactory, but its the aesthetics factor. is there no company to meet my vintage performance/style needs?!

That and the left hand exhaust Yoshimura were really about the only two choices back then. Bikes like that are getting to be close to 20 years old now. Going to be hard to find anything modern looking for them. You could always try to retrofit a newer style muffler from a modern exhaust on it though...

do you know the model yosh pipe that used to fit '87? yeah i gave a retrofitment consideration. i really dig the sound of the yosh and wanted to fit an rs-3 on, but i didnt want to spend so much...looks like i might have to...that v&h pipe only makes up for its looks in its tone so much. know any journal sites of others' 750r's?

Although the V&H is not that popular now, I have heard many and they sound good. Most of the pipe diameters should be roughly the same, so the retrofit might work out good, but then there might be a mounting problem, meaning special brackets might need to be fab'd.

yeah i haven't heard much about v&h lately either. regardless, i got the supersport; mainly because it was all i could find, but most importantly, because i found it for 100 as opposed to the more retail-like 325. i also picked up dj jets (1 & 3). i'm looking to get a s.a. extension kit, obviously some new chain/sprockets, air shifter, some new paint and minimal small led's.
