How much did that set up cost you? and do you have to change the chain if you go down 1 in front and up 2 in rear? i heard you dont have to but im not sure

A 520 chain is lighter, less rotating mass, so it's possible to pick up some HP. Plus, a 520 chain and sprocket set is cheaper than the proprietary 525 size that came on newer ZX7's, easier to get and there's more variety in the ones available. I'll be doing the same (once the parts arrive). Got an RK 520SHO and 15/43 set for $100.

bull shit. pick up horse power from going from a 525 to 520 setup? do you really believe this?

ill tell you what a 520 gives you.....a LITTLE less weight...and shorter life.

look it up in the catalog, the 520 chains can not handle the same lbs/ft of torque as a 525 and 530. the 530 is the best for sheer strenght...(FACT)

lmao @ more HP

Do I believe it? yes. I didn't say how much you'd get, and I'm sure it's negligible. But you could say the same thing for titanium valves, springs and retainers, or lighter pistons or con rods. At the other end of the spectrum would be light weight wheels, which are definately noticeable.

The whole setup was $160. I don't really think our bikes put out enough HP to really tear up a chain too fast. Besides, the chain was 90 dollars, that would be pricey to replace weekly, but every few months or so, it's not too bad. And I am sure it will last even longer than that.

By the way, sprocket specialists is retarded. I ordered the parts from kneedraggers, and they immediately had it drop shipped from sprocket specialists to me. Well, I paid for two day ground, and they (sprocket specialists) sent it out regular ground, so now I won't get the parts until next wednesday which is two days after I really needed them. They refunded me the measly 8 bucks extra I had paid for 2day ground. Whoopdie do, I ordered two day for a reason, obviously I wanted the parts, not the shipping money. Any suggestions on what I might be able to do to actually get something out of this?
