Hi,would like to find out more about zx-11 cdi
Hi ZZRocket,
i've just bought a zx-11 D4 which has a V&H PowerPak,having opened it up, i see 16 different maps.previous owner doesn't know much and hadn't any idea who had this installed, hence no manual.the bike pickup is good but then i get stuck unable to rev beyond 5500prm in 5th and 6th gear.gearchanges ok, no clutch slip.could it be the carbs? i have a stock cdi given but have not installed it. is it ok to just swop to the stock to try out the difference?

New to forum
I'm New to this forum So I thought I'd introduce myself.(i can't believe i spelled introduce correctly the first try.LOL) I ride a 1983 Kawasaki ZX100a1 that has been heavily modified. Don't get me wrong the motor and chassis are stock but it has had a frame off cleaning and paint job. The oem air box has been replaced with pods, the pipe is now 4 into 1. The sprockets have been changed to 46/14.
and then was put back together without any attention to detail. Ie. Missing bolts, wiring harness routed in correctly that type of thing.
As I sit here right at this very moment I can turn around and look at today's rehab project : replacing the DFI system with a set of Carbs! and of course going through the wiring. All in hopes of some reliability.
