Default Rate the ZX-11

I just got my 96 Zx-11 with a muzzy exhaust. It will be a few days before I can really ride it, and I wanted to see what you guys thought. Are there any things I should know before jumping on the bike? i know all bikes have things you learn just by riding.

This is my second bike and I'm going to spend some time bangin' out tight slow turns in a parking lot to get used to the extra 200lbs.

It's an excellent bike with several good qualities. We're talkin': 6.3 gallon tank including 1.7 gallon reserve for a nice long cruising range; built-in turn signals for a clean look without the flopping around; great wind protection with the nice, full fairing & cowl; extra weight of the bike adds great stability in windy areas; comfortable yet sporty, it does it all in comfort & style.

Also reliable, I've got 76K+ miles on mine and she runs as good as new!

I have to agree with BigNinja. I've had my 01 ZX11 for about 2 1/2 years now and I love it. When I got it, it had 2300 and I have just past 12k. I have ridden a lot of bikes and enjoy this one the most.

Jim,

Since it doesn't sound like you're use to this big(& powerful) of a bike, my first
recommendation is to "Take it easy".....don't get caught up in racing other bikes
until you become fully aware of what the "Beast" can do.

I'm on my 14th m/c and 3rd ZX-11. Change your oil every 3k with full synthetic &
make sure your brake pads are up to snuff.

Have fun and ride safe!
