Default Anyone else got some ZRX love?

In the process of buying a wrecked green/blue/white '05 zrx1200, and let me tell you, when the guy said 'parts for these are hard to find', I didn't take him seriously enough. They REALLY ARE hard to find, and this bike needs a bikini fairing, tank, tail, left rearset, shifter, clutch lever, and gauge cluster. It was cheap and I wanted a project, and a project is just what I got! I'm excited. So, anyone else out there ride one, or am I a lonely 80's child lost in a sea of GSXR's?

We're both lonely 80's children lost in a sea of pointy ass cooky cutter GSX-R's lol

I would kill for a ZRX1200, one of my all time favorite bikes and very high on my next bike list.

One of the bikes on my short list.

Default She's home!

Just got my baby home last night. Guernica (the husband) brought it home on the trailer. Needs a new gauge cluster, headlight, turn signals, and mirrors, but it is pure sex on wheels. I LOVE IT!

Haven't ridden it yet- howling winds, cold weather, and no plates- but Guernica said it was very torquey.

Head on over to ZRXOA Home Page ... parts are NOT hard to come by on there. It's also a true example of shadetree mechanics and parts manufacturers. The enthusiasts for these bikes are just awesome, fabricating some of the sweetest things i've ever seen.

it's stock a 5 spd, but there was a guy making a custom 6 spd tranny for them. PRICEY? sure, but the cost was totally worth it.

Torquey doesn't even begin to start. This thing is like a buell off the line. it's obscene. I spent 3 months on mine and never went over 8 grand on the tach. I want another couple bikes (big cruiser, and a nice triumph 675 and a dual sport) but the ZRX will ALWAYS be in my stable. I bought mine at 14k miles, and I'm around 40k now.

If you need help finding one of these or parts, let me know.
