I was looking for a few months and finally found a z within distance to me. It is a 2003 Orange with 5k miles. It has a new Diablo strada rear and needs a new front here in the future. It came with everything i wanted.

I bought a pair of RS1 Yoshimura pipes and Spec tech gripster also known as stomp grips. I didn't care for the orange at first but love it now.
sweet man, post some pics! I just got back in the saddle after 3 months of rehab and repairs (mainly waiting on my Lazer exhaust).
main upgrade is the 636 suspension front and rear, best mod ever IMO.

Yea riderforums it what got me to want the bike. Everything has been a big help so far. Should i look into a powercommander or not... $250 is alot to spend if it doesn't do much. I will look into the suspension but saving for a house comes first. I would like to have a house in the next year. Going to look into bar end mirrors but the crg's are a little expensive.

I wouldn't recommend a PC3 unless you get a dyno tune as well. My bike was running rich (12.0 a/f), shooting flames with the stock pc3 map. i got it dyno'd and its running 13 a/f now. biggest improvement was in throttle response and roll on. although sometimes the generic maps from Dynojet can be right on the money.
Definitely post up pics of your "new to you" Z (I especially love the orange Kawi used in '03/'04).
In fact, since the Z1000-specific forums are kinda dead (which sucks), everyone should post up pics of their Z1K. IMO it's one of THE best-looking bikes ever made, and an '08 is gonna be my next bike. Honestly, there are MANY times I wished I would have bought a new Z1K first, THEN my 636 next, instead of the current situation. I'm just totally hooked on the Z's.
