YZF600R The perfectly balanced middleweight supersport machine. A model of civility attuned to the everyday needs of the real world. That's not to say the 600R doesn't feast on twisty tarmac as hungrily as its supersonic R1 and R6 siblings.

Default Where is the fuel filter?

Ran my '95 YZF600 alsmost out of fuel. Started to run really crappy just before that and would stall if you didn't keep the throttle cracked a bit. Still ran the same after filling with fuel. I'm assuming it sucked some debris from the bottom of the tank into the filter (?)...where is the fuel filter located?

Also, what is the little knob that sticks out just above the right side fairing? Is it a fuel shutoff?

fuel filter is right underneath the tank. take off the tank by taking off seat, fill cap/flange, tank cover, fuel tap knob, electric connectors, fuel line, and finally the tank bracket itself.
