YZF-R6 We started out to give the 2005 R6 more horsepower and a new fork, and wound up engineering a nearly new motorcycle.

Hey,

anyone know where to get a gel seat for a 2001 r6? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

That's a good question. I haven't found anyone who has made a gel seat for any of the R6 years. I'm sure Sergant would custom make one for you though.

I learned something after buying a new seat for my FZ1. Its not a matter of how soft a seat is, its how well its shaped. My Corbin seat is rock hard but I can ride twice as far as the softer stock seat.

Check out http://www.americanasoftseats.com They have a special going on for the next 2 weeks. They have quite a good reputation for quality and service. Jerry (the owner) will respond to your email the same day.

I got a butt buffer gel seat pad. I bought a custom seat cover off ebay to put over it. You could remove the stock seat cover and put it under. It makes long rides much better.
