I just realised i've always HATED to go shopping for ANYTHING. Food, clothing, or just random things. Hate it...
But now when it comes to buying things for my bikes or gear for myself i'm ALL about it!
I just picked up a new to me dirt bike and i've been doing nothing but searching for gear (yes I work at a bike shop but some things I can still find cheaper online.. like last year closeout crap).
I just bought a dirt helmet and I can't WAIT for it to get here!! It's like christmas lol. I've been stairing at some Shift boots that are last years so they are dirt cheap but I want to be 100% sure I can't get them cheaper at work. (don't sell One Industries which is what the helmet is.. but I do sell Shift)
I feel like I want to go by work now and check our dealer prices. It's like crack
hate shopping for stuff I have to get that i don't want. grocery shopping socks- electronics i don't want to pay for- expensive boots for work.
horse, dance and bike stuff- big fan. love shoes but i rarely shop for them- usually walk by and go.OOOO Hhhhot and walk away- I only window shop on line... make up is easy- buy one get one free so I don't spend a lot fo time doing that. thats about it. If I got to the mall its more for people watching than to spend it trolling for shit I don't need.

Being the "big shot" in beginner group is like being a retard w/ the nicest helmet. You're still slow.

I love to shop. Doesn't matter what it is or who it's for.
Sometimes when I get bored at work, I go online & buy something (usually something I've been looking at or thinking of getting for a while anyway). It soothes the craving to spend money & gives me something to look forward to getting.
I put things I am interested in getting in my shopping cart on amazon.com & check it every so often. They automatically update the prices, and notify you when it happens. So I can wait until the price drops on stuff & jump on it then.

I did like shopping for bike gear...it was just fun because you know whatever you buy will last a long time and be extremely useful.
I do hate grocery shopping. It's a chore and no matter how many aisles they built for checkout you usually end up waiting anyway...I've gotten lucky at Publix with short waits but clothes and other retailers are the WORST.
I don't go to the mall at all because while I actually feel great when I bag up some things...I HATE seeing SO MANY things I want and have to SACRIFICE and narrow it DOWN. So I sometimes only went like 4 times for the year and spent a whole bunch at once.
Exception is if i have something SPECIFIC i must go in, get, and get out. Like a business suit. Which I do need to get myself a new one. But yeah, clothes and shoes shopping for me I have to have a mass of money to do a bunch at once or else too much sacrificing is involved to choose just one or two things.
I hate the mall... I hate over priced crap too. Now days most of my shopping is done online. Gear and stuff I can get at work ;) But I do still look online for better deals.
I just came home with new dirt riding boots for my husband and I. I could get them online for like $3 cheaper but screw that. Not to mention they didn't have my husband's size and he would have had to go a size up. Not something I wanted.
Now I still need gloves, goggles, and pants. I'm still deciding what colors though.. lol
I hate shopping because the frugal consumer that I am has to compare prices for everything. Doesn't matter if its groceries or shoes. I must get it at a low price! It can be very time consuming and annoying sometimes.
I'd also much rather watch my savings account grow than buy more stuff I don't really need.

I like the mall you know...I just don't like having to NOT buy a whole lot of things i like. Hence the strategy of walking in with a few hundred to shop all at once and feel unrestricted than $50 or $80 and 2 shirts and boom you CAN'T do anything more. Sucks. I've been told though that one should always treat oneself to even one small thing each payday...just to say you did something for yourself each cheque (and it's not necessarily clothes or shoes)...i don't know, i like my strategy of biannual quadrannual (word? lol) shopping.
Also, I'm not the size i want to be just yet so that is the primary reason right now for not liking the mall. Not shopping for anything other than work clothes til i am a proper size.

Let me add that I am tall (6' 1 1/2") so it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find things off the rack. Therefore, most things I purchase for myself, I do online. I do love a good run thru the mall though (sneakers, sweats, jeans, etc).
your picture is awesome... I <3 shoes... esp those.
I'm a shoe whore- i could shop for shoes anywhere- that is a weakenss of mine- that and make up at rite aid for buy one get one free... thats like fucking crack cocaine for me... the dancer in me is attracted to all things sparkly- which sucks cause I repurpose stuff and I'm like oh I coudl do this with this and make that costume bla bla bla... sucks cause i have no room for it or time or money... need to be saving.

lol I think the biggest thing I hate about the mall (other than prices) is the crowed of people. I am a nice fun loving person.. I just hate to be around a lot of people...
Now i'm in the pickle of WHAT to buy. My funds are getting lower than I want them to and I need at least some pants for dirt riding and gloves, goggles. That'll be about $100 my cost. (And to my suprise I want stuff that is black with a hint of pink!) BUT I also REALLY want my damn street bike to run again. Still no idea whats wrong so I was just going to replace the stator and regulator since the new battery is on it's way but my cost on them both will be about $270.
I know we'll be riding dirt a lot and I don't have the jeans to spare (not until my lazy ass loses a few pounds to fit in my old jeans) and I have to have goggles and would be nice to have gloves to ride in...
Street I can always ride my husband's bike even though he gets a little snotty about it.
I'm leaning more towards getting the dirt stuff for now then the street bike in a few weeks. I want to check out the stator again anyways.. and a friend said to check the magnet as well so I need to read up on how the hell to get to that. gs:
I wish things were free then i'd probably love going shopping anywhere!
