Default Pants W/ Protection

I bought a pair of textile pants from Scorpion and they are too big The knee and hip protection is in the wrong places. The top of the protectors sit below the part they are suppossed to protect. Do you think if I order a size smaller the armor will be in the right places? Or does sizing not apply to armor placement?
I tried on a pair of Fieldsheer pants before that fit, but the armor was in the wrong places. So that makes me think Fieldsheer and Scorpion are better for average women and my petite-ness will not work with their gear.
I have a pair of Joe Rocket Trixie leathers that fit PERFECTLY. It's like they were made just for me. I wish they made a textile version!

You could also take the armor out of the pants and wear armored shorts underneath.

^Yeah, I think I might try to get a size smaller and wear armor underneath. I hope the smaller size isn't too small though. It's so frustrating that most the gear I buy doesn't even fit right!

I second the separate armor idea. Go to sportbiketrackgear.com and look for knox cross guard knee armor for knee/shin protection. These are slim enough to fit under any pants, even jeans, and are comfy. They come in two sizes. If you 5'6" or taller, get the large size. It's really just a longer version that covers more of your shins.

Also, maybe you buy the armor first & try it on with the larger size before you return it?

Then if it's still too big try the smaller size.

^I think the armor will fit with the smaller size. If I'm not in riding position the Large falls down and when I am in riding position my ass hangs out! Haha But thanks for mentioning it!

I'm adding some info for anyone who might use the search function and find this thread....

I ended up exchanging the large for a medium (what I normally wear) and the medium fits very well. They don't fall down and the armor is where it should be. Only complaint is that they are a little too long for my short legs, but hemming them will fix that.
