Default GRRrrrrRRRR!!!

I'm BAAAAAAAAACK! Yeah baby, da wolf is back in da house! I'm on a smaller but much more fun bike this time around; I sold the 600 and in turn got meself a Yammi 250 enduro. This thing is a little screamer!! Redlines at 11,500, 6 speed and holy crap does it rip! Needless to say I love this bike...I haven't regretted bringing it home.

So I'll begin this catch-up with a bit about some things. Back in '86 I bought a little DT 200 enduro; fun little 2-stroke that I got loads of miles logged, both on and off road. On Oct 23, 1988, at 11:30 AM, it was taken from me via MVA. *curses old codgers who can't see over the dashboard* I swore that one day, I would replace that little bike with another. Well, it took 20 years, but I finally have it. Enter RČ. I spied this little rascal a few years ago, but then it was only available as strictly dirt. I couldn't DS it, which sucked. Then last year, they brought out the bike, totally revamped, and street-legal. Liquid cooled, fuel injected, 6 speed, and has the same components as the R1 engine-wise...just only it's a single. Redline of 11,500, this thing is like sewing machine on roids. 80mpg out of the crate. The only downfall? It's too damned tall!! With an inseam of 28", the seat was at 37. Hoo boy it was an awful stretch when I took it for a demo. I had to slide half way off the seat and the bike leaned bad. Nevertheless, I had to have it. Ok, insert Twilight Zone music here...on Oct 23, 2008, at 11:30 in the morning, I walked out of the showroom with RČ. EXACTLY 20 years to the hour, I replaced my beloved DT with RČ. I had to double check the paperwork when I got home because it was just too damned creepy. Must be fate, no?

So I've been riding this thing since...well, save for winter I didn't, but as of January once the roads were clear enuf I was riding. Threw in a drop link, spun the rear shock mount in, slid the forks up thru the triples, set the sag in as far as I could go and gained myself 4 inches. Now I can actually get a foot down without sliding off the seat! Threw on some heated grips, a heated seat, plumbed in a 12V plug so i can run my vest and a mini-compressor. Dropped the signal stick, the whale tail off the back, got full LED signals/taillight, barkbusters, under-bar mirrors, skidplate, rad guard, HID conversion, and some emissions crap I yarded out of there. God I love modding. Oh and tossed out the stocker Deathwing rubber that came on it and swapped in some Dunny 606's. Wicked in the mud. Yep, happy wolfie.

Then last weekend I went to a trade show in town with a buddy (Tibarus) and we took the bikes; me on RČ and him on his BMW R1100S. On the way there, we round a corner on Westside Rd at a spot where there is the entrance to the garbage transfer station on the left, and the driveway down into the forestry rec site on the right. As we come around this corner, I see the ass end of this green and silver Chevy pickup. This corner I know well, and I slowed a bit...we weren't doing any more than 65-70 km/h. I then see reflective vests on about 8 people who were doing garbage collection on this one small chunk of road; there was no signage anywhere indicating they were there, and I see one old asshat on the left side all by himself and he starts waving and screaming at me. I'm wondering WTF, then all of a sudden he's coming onto the road and crossing it, trying to swing this bag of garbage at me to knock me off my bike!!! I managed to maneuver around him (luckily my 250 is light and I could turn quick...had I been on the 600, I would have hit him) Tibby was behind me and this guy jumps out in front of him, being that he missed me, and Tibby had to stop. The guy swings at Tibby's head and starts screaming at him about us speeding and some other shyt, had a hold of his bike and tried to pull it over on him. Tibby's bike is heavy, and he held it up. The asshat wouldn't let him go until he got his license and registration and demanded an apology. I had to wait further down the road because there wasn't a safe spot to pull over or make a turn back as there was traffic both ways and corners aren't a smart place to be pulling u-turns. 10 minutes later Tibby pulls in behind me at a spot I had pulled over on and tells me what this guy did. The shytty thing is, bikers ALWAYS get the bad rap...we are ALWAYS speeding. Well, not this time. I got off the phone with the cops and they are going after the group that was out there. Tibby said that the guy missed knocking me off my bike by less than a half a foot...that could have resulted in my death, no doubt. I found out who the group is, and the cops have contacted the coordinator. The thing that pisses me off is that the cop said that the justice system won't do much because he was an old geezer. I mentioned this to a friend who rides a Ducati out this way and he has given me a contact name for the newspaper, and another member knows someone with CHBC, the local TV station. This shyt has got to stop and if it takes me to stick my head out and spit on the fire, I'll bloody well do it. I've been in touch with the head reporter from the Vernon Morning Star, the local newspaper, and also Liz McKinney from 103.9 radio...she's also a rider and was really pissed that this crap took place as she rides out here every so often.
SO....
We get to town shortly after 10 at the show, and start walking around. We run into the crew we were supposed to meet up with, walked around a bit and then split up. At that time I figured it was a good time to maybe go check on the bikes, because we were at that end of the show. That was when I noticed that SOMEONE had filled my helmet full of garbage, slit the nose cone to my helmet, flicked the switch on my heated grips and drained my battery. There was a small marble laying next to it. Luckily Tibby's bike wasn't untouched. By then I was so f*cking mad that I yanked on my helmet and told him I needed to go air out my head and was going to ride a round a bit to get my bike charged up (after he had bump started me). He didn't want me riding by myself in that state of mind and insisted that he stay with me in case something happened. So we got on the bikes and pulled out of the parking lot. On the way I ran into Red, an old buddy who is the area rep for Yamaha, told him briefly what happened to my bike, and told him I might be back in a bit. At that point I was so enraged...it's one thing to touch my bike...it's another thing to actually physically f*ck with it. There were people around at that time, who had a display near where the bikes were, some of whom I had recognized; two of them gave me a description of a person who was seen tinkering around the bikes. Screwing with my bike is like someone screwing with a cowboy's horse.

So that's been my highlight the last bit. Hopefully things get brighter cause this year so far's been ugly. How's my girls doing? Been a while! You can thank AC for dragging me out of my coffin. I thought maybe since I didn't have my rocket anymore I wouldn't fit in.

Never a dull moment around you, eh?

While you are modding your bike, you should put some kind of remote controlled auto-tazer on it for when you have to leave it sitting by itself.

Glad to have you back! ((Hugs))

I do have a cattle prodder...hmmm...wonder if I can take it apart and make it work with a switch. With my luck I'll forget I have the thing on and zap myself.

Has anything been done yet? Are the people from the media going to mention anything about this.

I was doing 30 MPH in a 30 MPH zone, and had some old guy walk out in the middle if the street, stand in front of my car and tell me that if I keep speeding through his neighborhood, he was gonna kick my ass. Funny how it is usually old people that pull shit like that.

So far nothing has been done. The cops haven't talked with the guy yet, mainly because all the old farts around here are saying nothing and I KNOW they all know who he is...why they try to protect someone like that is beyond me. I'm also taking this up with the women's advocacy group. Once I hear back from the cop if he is going to pursue this or just let it go because I never went down and I actually didn't have contact, I'm sure that the media will snatch it up. Why it takes something drastic to get things happening just royally sucks balls.

That's quit a story! People are amazing. Did that idiot think he wouldn't get hurt by getting run over by a bike?! The old fart needs his ass kicked! Good for you for following through with getting some attention brought to it. It hasn't happened yet, but it will, I'm sure.

I bet you would only forget about it one time though.

I hope you're not so busy that you can't stick around now. I miss tying greywolf to a tree and tormenting him with you.

Wow... Lookin' good there, Mark! Both on the calendar and tied to my bike. *evil grin*

OH!! This girl's gonna be on Discovery Channel in a new series. I won an audition and had to go to Vancouver for the finals, and I'm just waiting for the production crew to get things set up for shooting. I get to run big equipment. They'll be filming a week at a time until they have a series. Not sure when it's going to be airing; I'm gathering sometime this fall. EEEEEEEe I'm getting all excited again...wooo I get to run the world's biggest dump truck!

Tejas!! *runs over and hugs* I'm not the over-inflated head type. I could care less if they had a camera crew there; I just want to play on the big toys. I love anything that's big and makes lots of noise.

As for airing, that's a good question. I just had the contract sent to me and once I sign it my muzzle has to stay zippered. That's going to suck. Oh well...*squees* BIG TOYS
