Default Alpinestars Stella Boots!

Got a few questions if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it!

1. Do these boots run big? I have a pair of set ups and I where a size 7 ordered a 38 and they fit fine!

2. How wide is the calf portion of the boots? Problem I have is that I am short so my leathers are a bit long! With my set up boots they are so tight at the calves that I have to pull my leathers up just about out of the boots to get them to close! I know thw Alpinestars SMX Plus have the adjustable strap at the top and would work fine but everyone I know who has those boots the squeak and that would drive me nuts! I would really like to have the Stella boots to match my leathers but I don't want to have the same problem that I have with my Set-ups!

Thanks

I have the same problem with my Women's SMX boots, as far as not being able to fit them easily around my leathers. I think the Stella's are a more recent version of my boot, but I've not tried them on yet.

I heard that Oxtar boots give you more calf room, but I haven't tried them yet either.

As far as squeaking, a little silicon spray or lube will reduce or eliminate that. I use the little bottle of silicon that came with my Arai helmets.

squeak will not go away in any alpinestar shoe or boot that I own. And they suck for calf width Sorry... I second the oxtar idea. Personally I have decided that all boots suck (except my new A* ones that of course are super comfy, but totally not wearable at the track AND they squeak. Still, SUPER COMFY!

I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate that SQUEAK! (Can you tell I'm a little cranky today?)

Is that on your race boots? Weird... on mine the only place in the front that can squeak is where the toe slider is. The outer ankle pieces are what squeaks on mine, so that's easy to treat.

I went ahead and ordered the Aplinestars S-MX R! I order the 38 cuz that was the size my Set-ups were and I read that A* ran a little big! Hopefully they will fit since I already lent out my others boots/gloves/leathers to another girl rider for our upcoming all girls trackday!

Thanks for all your help!

I have the Stella SMX-4's and I'm happy thus far. I am kind of wishing I went a size smaller, but then again, those may have been too snug. I did have to get used to not being able to point my toe as much as now I can't quite get both feet down so I do the hang off to the left side thing ;)
