I was wondering what everyone does with their hair. I have 2 issues. One- my hair is long, about the middle of my back, 2- exhaust... after riding it smells like exhause.
I just got a hair glove on email and should have it in a few days. Has anyone used one? Any other ideas? Thanks!

Good question! My hair is pretty long too so I have the same problems.
When I wear my hair straight and just try to throw it in a low pony its a complete mess when im done. I figured out that if I scrunch my hair on the days I ride then it doesnt tangle as bad for some reason... Otherthan that I just go for the low pony and shove it in a messy bun.
I sure would love some other tips on what to do though because the bun isnt really all that comfortable!
I had long hair back when I first started riding, and ended up getting a huge matted knot in it from the wind and stuff. Finally cut it all off and moved on, but I'm a guy. My best advice is to brush it before and after, and keep it well conditioned. Also, using multiple ponytail thingys like the old harley guys do will help keep it from getting tangled, as well!

The tangling I have under control. I take one band and put it low on my head, the move all the way down the ponytail and put another band it. I guess my main issue is the exhaust... it just sucks to walk around work all day with exhaust following me.

I don't have any good solutions for that, as I myself have often niticed I smell like exhaust for awhile when riding to and from work. But maybe you could try tucking your hair under you jacket when you ride.

When my hair was long I would braid it in a single braid low on the neck and then tuck it into my gear.
I never had a problem with tangles or exhaust fumes.
I am a nurse and I never had a problem once I started doing this.

I have a 1000 cc between my legs, what do you have to offer?
wow, this is a new one. I've never had the issue of it smelling like exhaust, usually the helmet protects most of it. Same with the tangled part of it, the helmet helps alot from what I noticed and multiple hair ties.

I can't smell it yet - that IS a good one! and my hair is getting pretty long too. I just can't bring myself to put it in multiple hair ties - I just think it looks like you ride a Harley - no offence to those who do, it's just the mentality I think when I see it... I usually braid mine in two low ponytails, but then I just look like I'm 12. I find if I stick it under my jacket it drives me NUTS! Sorry Guess it's just going to get worse, huh!
My hair is down to the middle of my back at the longest point, fairly fine but there is a lot of it.
I put it in a twist on the top or back of my head and hold it place with a french comb (just a plain, unadorned one, not one of these decorative combs). That way it stays clean, doesn't get tangled, and when I stop for gas or whatever, I can use the french comb to comb my hair out, then put it back up again when I leave.
If I don't wear a balaclava, the fine hair at the nape of my neck gets tangled a bit, but nothing like the rest of it would if I didn't keep it in my helmet. My hair gets tangled just sitting at my desk, so wearing it outside my helmet is not an option.

I don't think i could get all my hair up in my helmet... but it is a thought. Thanks.
