I cant believe I have something to ad to this thread but I did used to have hair down to the small of my back, its really pretty simple, use a quality shampoo like paul mitchel and keep your hair in a pony tail. Not a problem
As far as the smell are you friggin kidding me? If that bothers you, stay home.

Blur, your hair must be more durable than mine.

I use salon quality shampoo, and conditioner, and leave-in conditioner, and all sorts of products to help detangle it and keep it smooth & frizz-free. After investing all that money in it, including $150 a pop every time I see my stylist, I am NOT going to let it get whipped around in the wind and broken into little pieces.

Was IM bald now remember, I think hair is a curse he he.
But I had no problems seriously, what little tangles got in it would brush right out.
I did have a few women who hated me becouse of my hair, and all i did was use good shampoo and brush it morning and night. Must be all that negative energy I have going on.

It takes some practice. Make sure you are using a french comb, and not one of the little combs that are only an inch or two long and wide. Also, it's much easier if your hair isn't just washed. When it's really clean, it's too silky and it's harder to get the comb to hold it. Practice doing it right before you wash your hair. When it's a little dirty, it's much easier to work with.

If you've been doing anything for 20 years, it always looks easy.

My hair used to be past my butt, I just chopped off 15" so it's only at the middle of my back now, but then and now I use the hair glove. Before I chopped it it only covered half my hair but it still worked great at preventing tangles and I didn't notice a smell. However, if you have really thick hair like I do you'll have to have someone help you button it on your hair. I just picked mine up at the local Harley store, I couldn't find any sporty ones, all the sport bike stores don't seem to carry that type of stuff anyhow

Default RE: Long Hair

I have long hair too, and I have found that when you put it up on top of your head, it doesn't feel right because of your helmet. But when you put it in a low pony tail, it tangles. I have found the only thing to do is carry a wide-tooth comb in the storage department of your bike, and comb it wherever you go..that's what I do =/

Oh and about the smell - I know exactly what you are talking about, and when I get home and mine smells like exhaust I spray some febreze around my hair and that seems to help. Sometimes if I really can't take it I will spray perfume on it too..I know exactly what your talking about though..I HATE when my hair smells like that and that's all I can smell alllll day..
