sometimes I braid my hair in two braids too - but that HURTS when you get whacked by it - my hair is UBER thick - I kid my stylist that I look like a sherpa sometimes lol - so I like it, I look like I'm 12 but if I'm doing 80 miles and hour and turn my head it whacks me in the neck..

You can literally hear me saying "ow" in my helmet sometimes! lol

Braid them into two until you get to the base of your neck then into one braid it won't slap you so easy....

Please do, I have an idea on how to french braid. My problem is I get lazy half way through so it looks messy or loose..
My hair is now down to just above the bra line and I would like to try something different with the helmet hair.. LOL

I love Acalliste's method (and her helmet)!! ;) I might have to give that a try. I do the ponytail with multiple ponytail holders to the end of the tail. (That way I don't have the knots or damage.) I'm just not fond of wearing my hair down after wearing it that way because it's all kinky.

I think the more important issue here is: What does it look like on a pillow?

It's a guy thing. We have to say that.......but honestly, I'll wash it out for you anytime!!

my hair is only about an inch past my shoulders so thankfully I dont have much left hanging after I put my helmet on..... I would probably be upset if I did because even that little bit get tangled just by working all day....

Aw, thank you!

I love that helmet too. It's my favorite one so far.

AC, that's awesome! I'll have to learn how to do that!

I normally just grab it all up in a pontail, twist it once and throw a tieband around the twist so it's like a little bun, and the ends just hang from the top. It all fits in the helmet too and I just take it down when we stop and run my hands through my hair and that's pretty much it.

You can kinda see it in the attached pic...

That works as well! Sometimes I misplace my french comb and have to put it up in a ponytail that's doubled up to keep it in my helmet. But I always make a mess out of it trying to get it out again.

so... I tried the french twist and no go - can't get my helmet down over my head. I could cry! Next is a bandana I'm thinking... Sigh... I hate all these options, I was so psyched for the twist!
