** 2009 Ladies of SBN Calendar ** Info thread

Here's the basic info:

Pictures

Deadline for submitting pictures: August 15, 2008

The general idea is to show your personality. They can be sexy, but not X-rated. I think we'd all like to be able to hang them in our kitchens and offices. Get creative... weekend ride pics, road trips, track days, race pictures, hanging out in the pits, maybe even pics washing or working on your bike... the possibilities are endless. Pics in the sunshine, or nighttime city shots. Think outside the box.

Get a few shots of whatever kind of riding you do, or at least geared up for it and posing by your bike. Also include one with no helmet so we can see your cute faces.

Pictures should be between 100 and 300 DPI, JPG is ok, but PNG is better and preferable. No camera phone shots please.

We will probably look at doing it through Cafe Press again. Once you get some pictures ready, they can be emailed to me at the address below.

BTW, if anyone has any great ideas on poses, locations, photography advice, etc, let's hear it.

Email high resolution pics to: sbncalendar@bellsouth.net

Also, in your email, please include a brief bio, your SBN screen name, real first name, and the kind of bike(s) shown in the picture(s). We are going to add a little info to each layout.

There may be a limit to how many pics, or overall size of attachments that can be attached to a single email, so you might want to send several emails and just attach 2 or 3 to each one to make sure I get them all.



Calendar info

All pics submitted will be considered, but final judgment on which ones are used will be made by me and Fred. When all the pictures are submitted, we'll talk about who gets what month.

All proceeds from calendar sales will be donated to charity. I don't know which one at this point. We can vote on it again like we did last year. I'll start a separate poll for that a little later.

Why don't some of you ladies head on out to your local bike shop and ask the owners if you can use one of thier bikes in the shoot. That way they get some free advertising and yuo get to use a free bike that may or may not cost more than your own. I would wager that if you tell them that they could get a listing (along side the month in small print). Something like "Bike provided by: Yada Yada". I could give more detail on this idea but I think you guys get the picture where I am going.

looking into getting a new bike in june so hopefully i'll be able to submit some pictures this year with the new bike!!! can't wait!
