I'm getting things ready for my daughter's street riding. So, to surprise her with hints hear and there, I'm getting her gear together. I'm looking for her some boots. She wears about a 8.5. She has some Alpinestars off road boots for her quad that are a size 8. Is there a real difference between men's and women's boots besides the actual sizes?

Hey:
Yes there are other differences. Womens calves tend to be larger and their lower legs slightly shorter than mens. If she has a pair of off road boots that fit her you can probably get a pair of the same brand boots in street boots.
Size vary from manufacturer to manufacturer so if she has Alpinestars that fit then get another pair of street Alpinestars etc.
Hope this helps.
Anita

I wear Alpinestars SMX Womens boots, in size 8.5 and I wear a 8.5 or a 9 in regular shoes and boots, so for that brand/style at least, the sizes are accurate.
You could try googling any brands you are thinking about getting. You should be able to find reviews from people who have tried them and get useful information.
We stopped by Bogarts Motorsports today (I just had to take a look at the KTM Duke) Low and behold they had some Sidi size 7 that fit her perfectly!!
And she loves the Ninja she got a week ago!!!!
