Default Bike Gear!

I just realized I would rather shop for bike gear than regular clothes...lol.

I'm liking these!

I was wondering about getting some colour going on my future bike, but fates worked out that it will likely be my old serious self again. And i don't mind. I had to sacrifice a little matching to do it (you all know that's my little vanity, matching gear & bike), so I decided I will let the little girl and the flash out in the helmet and leave it at that.

P.S. I still have the Alpinestars track leather pants...since we all no none of these guys will buy them, just no pics. It's black though.

Hey, when did you finally have that revelation?

I like to go shopping with my wife (to make sure she does not buy the whole store) and it is a little boring shopping for clothes with her. But now that she rides, all she has been doing lately is shopping for gear. Instead of me saying "Lets go to Cycle Gear" she's the one saying it. And now we are always looking on line for the deals. The problem is gear looks too cool not to look at it and you know you want to look good on your bike. It's an addiction.

Tell me about it. If i had the money i would probly start a helmet collection for different moods...and start customizing some of them...

*edit* actually a rider told me the best (safe) way to learn about bikes is to buy some old junkie for like $100, get my own tools and a mechanic's service manual, and work on it from the ground up as my project bike...one of these years i will do that...and then i'll get a wicked bike skin to put on it...

I LOVE those motogp gloves above...they just look wicked to me...and i keep coming back in here to look at them.lol. i need to go to work.

That would be a good way to learn about bikes. I've always wanted to build one from the ground up myself. A metric chopper or something.

Those are cool gloves. Back to work Maggot! (One of my favorite sayings)

I have the pink Dragon HJC. I was going to go with the blue to match my bike and jackets, but I decided to go girlie, too. I agree with the helmets to match moods. Sometimes I would like one of those toothy evil helmets.

I love the Pink Dragon. I'm not allowed to buy any more gear...I've been very bad. Got the bike in Aug, took the MSF course and got my license first of Sept and I already have 3 jackets (1 text tile and 2 leather), 2 pair of pants (1 textile and 1 leather) , and 2 sets of boots. The S/O bought me the Helmet I wanted and I still have the one that came extra with his bike that fits me too. Help me...I'm out of control.

I liked the Barbwire helmet at first (the barbed wire on it is outlined in pink)...but that was just a trace of pink, and as the only pink anywhere near the bike, i said if it's going to be on the helmet it might as well be visible, or else i can stick to perfect matching.

I am in love with those gloves. everytime i see them i pause and flex my fingers like I'm already wearing them.

ps whoa my girl, you are just addicted to shopping...you got the bike and msf within the last 60 days and already have all that? or did you mean you got them last year? I guess i would have 2 jackets if i wasn't on a budget, but i decided if i will only have one, get the leather and call it a day. It can do double duty as my winter jacket on regular cold days when i am not riding.

Nope all happened this year...no worries I'm done...for now lol.

TejasRider - The black dahlia is sweet, the flat black with the red really pops but if she loves pink the AGV may be the way to go.

That AGV is a brand I don't hear about...is it DOT & Snell...cause in searching around on Ebay etc., i come to realize the ones I don't hear about are usually DOT only, not both...

But of the three, AGV look the wickedest...

Ok after seeing the Icon Rogue...I'll just rank them, since the black's only fault is i'm thinking it's too hard to see:

1. AGV

2. Black rose (or whatever that is)

3. Scorpion girly one...

You've got which red helmet?

I'm no longer married for a while now, but do have kids...but I'm never going to be one of the women who looks back and says she coulda shoulda woulda BUT (and proceeds to blame her not living her life on her children)...just requires advance planning and maybe sacrificing...i am giving up an annual carnival trip if the bike thing is happening...and it would have been my only vacation all year...but carnival is just once a year...the bike can be my little vacation every DAY.

a girl told me she was disappointed i sold my last one cause iwas her inspiration to get one like she always wanted. jaw DROPPED cause i never ever heard her express the slightest interest in bikes...funny how you can make an impression on someone and not even know it...whether good or bad...and it's much later you find out and say wow, i had no idea. Even professors remember me by my bike now...
