custom leather jacket

does anyone have experience with getting a custom leather jacket made? i was looking at syed and vanson. is syed a good brand? i know vanson is supposed to be top of the line. any other suggestions?

is it possible to have a normal jacket altered? my arms are pretty short so the sleeves of all my jackets go down to my fingers. is it possible to shorten the sleeve from the shoulder or bicep area so that the elbow protection is in the correct place?

Absolute highest quality leather, they do custom sizing, and they'll mail you sample sizes to try on before settling on your measurements.

Only downside is that their jackets don't have armor, or didn't until recently. They do have a men's jacket now with armor, I don't know about women's.

I got their braided racing jacket, and a local alterations shop charged me $40 to sew pockets into the mesh for shoulder, elbow, and back armor, so I'm happy.
