I picked up an '04 RR yesterday. I had been looking at a ton of bikes, but it came down to this one and I couldn't pass it up. 3400 miles, Micron pipe, undertail, flushmounts and a sportech windscreen. Just a few more mods and he'll be perfect. (frame sliders, fairing mesh, polished rims)
I got home late, so no good pics yet... He needs a good bath and some Honda polish and then he'll be ready for his photo shoot.
I just need to purchase a new helmet and I'm ready to roll.
Hand is doing pretty well, altho it did bug me a little on the ride home from picking it up. I'm only 3 weeks out from my accident, so I consider myself very lucky to even be able to ride at this point.
Welcome back and congrats on the new scoot! Can't go wrong with Honda
Now, as I said to Bre, give me your bike

Wow, nice bike and good on the fast healing...you must be young! I remember after my only street crash in '81 (I was 23) the Dr. told me wait 6 weeks (concussion, bad rash & broken collarbone) and I was back on in 3.5...could still feel it moving a bit but didn't hurt so WTH....I know I couldn't get away that easily nowadays.
Have you found out yet how much it'll cost to "buy back" your bike? I did this last year with my Nephew's Ninja 250. Basically after we agreed on the full value they deducted only $100 for the UM deductible, and an additional approximately $200+ for the stated salvage value, out of an "agreed upon" $1600 value ('95 in mint condition). They tried to offer only $1100 as the total value before deductions, but I politely bombarded them with a letter summarizing attached printed ebay sales that month, nearly identical models, same year and color, but with not as few miles or quite as good condition that sold for between $1400 - $1800 to get them to up it. (State Farm). So I ended up with the bike and $1300, and he'd paid $1800. Damage was all cosmetic except headlight and signals. I found some cheap used parts to put it back together and it still runs excellent.

Actually my insurance company didn't total it out, but instead sent me a check to have it fixed. It really only needed a right clip on and rearset to be rideable. I ended up selling it, and used that money along with the insurance check to purchase the RR.
The guy that bought the old one has already put on about 500 miles. He purchased a clip on and rearset and he was riding it 2 days after he picked it up from me.
I'd have to say that I came out of that pretty darn well.
