Default Helmet hooks???

I have these helmet hooks (they actually look like a bolt) on my bike...I know this may be a dumb question but how do you get the helmet to stay on and not fall off???

I'm not sure with your year model, cause on mine it's on the lower portion of the bike from what I've seen. I haven't really had the chance to look to closely at it though.. do you have a pic of it ?

They are right in front of the passenger seat;see the strap on the passenger seat look right below; see the knob sticking out...well I was told you hang your helmet there...hum...I like my helmet....not sure I trust that for a helmet hook..... this is really the only good pic.

I'm not sure if this applies with the honda, but on my sv I would take off the seat and just underneath the lip of the seat (plastic) there was a hook that I could hang my helmet on. I was trying to find a diagram of your back end, that doesn't sound right does it.. LOL anyway's I was trying to locate the hook on this diagram, but was on able to find it. Maybe this will help you.

Your helmet hooks are under the passenger seat. They are a U style hook... you put the ring from your helmet on there, and slap the seat back on. Holds very securely. Check under the seat, you will find them!

What you are referring to there is a bolt that holds the rear cowl on... it's also handy for bendeeing things down to the rear seat... but completely useless as a helmet hook... ;)
