Buy a Suzuki, it will automatically give you one ball. When you learn how to ride it you will be given a second ball. Once you have both your balls you can come back to the SBN Playground.

depends on how you are comfortable riding. If you need to be flatfoot (or close to it), then the 2-4 should be good. I've sat on the new gsxr before, i'm about 5'5, and find it very low compared to the R6 and the 600rr, but then of course, I'm use to riding tip toe...
I would buy the 1-3 link if i was in your situation, but its entirely up to you...

i'm tip toe in shoes right now... in boots its not comfortable kind of tip toe...
i don't necessarily need to be flat footed but i'd like to get closer than i am right now
do you feel comfortable tip toeing? (like if a bad situation was to arise do you feel you could still handle it accordingly?

hehe...honestly, (and this is terrible, don't do it), i rode in heels for awhile (only 1 inch, but it helped). I lowered my rr 1.5 inch in the back, and felt comfortable, not exactly flatfooting it (without heels), but not on tiptoes either. Depending on what situation you are talking about. I haven't really had a problem with keeping my bike upright, but if you are talking about maybe um...accidently stalling the bike because you let the clutch out too fast at a light, and having to put your foot down in a hurry, then no, i would hate to be on tiptoe. Mainly it is because for most girls, once a bike starts to tilt, we won't be able to save it, especially if you are tiptoeing, because by the time you get your entire foot down, the bike is leaned so far over that there is pretty much no way we can save it. However, for guys, like my boyfriend who has a 29 inch inseam, but can bench 300 pounds and legpress 1500 pounds, he can easily save it. I am not on tiptoe on the RC, but am on the balls of my feet (my foot in a position like if i was wearing 4 inch heels) which doesn't bother me, because i run around in 4 inch heels all day and can find my balance pretty easily. Is the gsxr your first bike?

yep it sure is she's my pride and joy and i take almost outrageous care of her...
i'm on the balls of my feet in shox (like you said, its like wearing 4 in heels) and i'm a brute of a girl (my little brother knocked her over while trying to move her ((yes i cried but only got a couple little scuffs that have since been touched up)) and i picked her up off the ground with one hand on the grip and one on the seat) but i definitely would hate to drop the clutch and have her stall (just as you said) and not be able to keep her up. I really think 1 or 2 inches would be okay i'm just not quite sure which. I know that once you go to low you start to run into ground clearence issues so i think i'm basically asking if i should play it safe and go 2 in or wing it with 1.... either would be better than where i'm at now

Can you get the balls of both feet down? If so, I wouldn't think you'd need to be that much closer to the ground. Maybe a little.
I can only get the balls of both feet down on my '05, and I don't have any problems whatsoever. Then again, I've been riding a lot longer.
Keep in mind that this is your first bike, you are still in the learning phase now, and you are going to get a lot more comfortable with it as time passes. Lowering the bike does change the handling a bit.
i can get both balls down in my shox but not in riding boots (the soles don't flex enough)... if i could get my feet down in riding boots i would just leave it alone but unfortunately thats not the case
does lowering have any serious adverse effects??

Depends on what you are going to do. If you were taking it to the track fairly often or doing a lot of spirited riding, you wouldn't want to mess with it too much. If you are just riding casually, then it's probably more important to make it easier for you to handle.
But, as you become a better rider, you being able to handle it will get to be less of an issue, while at the same time how the bike handles will become more apparent - and important - to you.
