I got to tell my Mom that her beloved cat LeLe, who she hand raised from a tiny kitten, got hit by a car Saturday night. The kids found her in the road Sunday morning. So after wishing Mom "Happy Mother's Day" when she woke up, we had to tell her LeLe was dead. It sucked.

We went to the mall and I bought her a beautiful gold bracelet to try to make her feel better. I think it helped, but this is going to take time for her to get over. LeLe was a cool cat. Even the kids were sad. My nephew, son and bro-in-law buried her in my sister's backyard (we were staying there for the weekend).

I know

She survived living in the Manistee Natl Forest in Michigan for the last several years with bears, bobcats, turkeys, hawks, deer and god knows what else coming into the yard, then they come back to Fla and she gets hit by a car. I guess she was a country kitty at heart.
