That's what it was for me when I dropped my bike! Definitely adrenaline..cause I dropped it and lil ole 105 lbs me yanked it right up like it was no thing and kept on going....

i have a 400lb bike and im only 5'4'' and 112lbs, and i have laid my bike umm lets see now... 4 times.. at stand still and turning, and i have always picked up my bike... i figure hey im trying to be tough and i did buy this biek so i better be able to handle it or i dont need it... i cant always be a chick and look around for someone to come help...

best way for me is to get low, turn the bars away.. and lift with the bike.. plain and simple for me.. its hard for everyone cuz im leg strong not arm strong so its different for other ppl...

Well with me at 125 lbs at the time and at the gym regularly I managed to get my old bike up (750 Nighthawk) which is significantly heavier than the 600RR I have now.

I got it up just teetering over the peg, I grabbed something higher on the bike then I adjusted my grip a little lower and slowly stood it up. Once I got the feel for how much leverage I needed it was ok. Heavy as hell but ok.

I haven't needed to pick up a bike since. But I guess slow & steady is the way to go. Always ask for help if it's available.

UGG! This is an unfortunate situation that I do have some experience with. I have dropped the Magna (650#) before and had to pick it back up by myself because there was no other choice. It was not easy or pretty but basically grabbed and used my legs to walk it back upright. it was full of gas too . make sure you have the front wheel straight otherwise it will just roll back on the wheels if you can grab the brake that will help too. I have yet to (hope not anytime soon) drop or have to pick up the SV but it is light with a different center of gravity than the Magna so I don't think it will be as hard. I have also picked up the bike by geting close to the bike with my back to it and walked it up with my legs. that works too but harder to catch it if you go to far too fast.
Good luck.

The guys were teaching me how to turn the bike on the kick stand. At first it was too heavy and with my dislocated shoulder & I thought I would never get it. But with lots of practice I finally did it. I am not a pro at it just yet but I am working on it. My only fear is that I drop the bike (NOT!!!) LOL I haven't dropped a bike since WOW lets see 2003 I think. Mistakes happen and plastics crack so I try to be extra careful. Above all when the bike falls it is embarrassing.

CBRJenn always turns her bike (an '05 CBR1000) on the side stand, get this, because she is too short to push it forward or back it in and out of parking spaces.

The backward technique is the one that I was shown back when I took my safety course and it has worked for me ever since. I taught my wife how to do it just in chance we were out riding and one of us goes down then she would be able to get the bike off me if I was ever pinned. She is only 5 ft, 125 lbs and able to pick up her rebel 250 my cbr 600rr and also my old virago 1100cc cruiser.

Thank you for that. I won't have to ask some random guy walking by if ever my bike tips over now.

I do that too. I just have friends that stunt and that is what they do so that is how I learned to get my bike turned around quickly...
