Question Motorcycle Gear?? Alpinstars?? Leather??

Hey guys who know gals or just the gals -

I am still looking for motorcycle pants and not sure which to chose from. I really like the Alpinestars women's Stella Bat pants and Stella Cat pants both in leather. I'd like to know what you think about them. Are they cut smaller then usual? Are they comfortable? Do they look nice? Do they stretch a bit?

I want to get some great fitting gear, but still don't know what to get. Most of the motorcycle places around ONLY have men's gear. I'd love to try some women's gear on, but where. So, I'm stuck ordering online and need advice. Thanks.

Kat

I haven't tried either of those pants. They look great though.

I do have a technic two piece suit that I love.

Before I bought it I did a lot of research to see if there was anything quirky about fitment that I needed to know. And there was. Technic's sizing chart is a size smaller than reality. One of the websites who sold it emailed me a "real world" sizing chart. I used that and got a suit that fit perfectly the first time I ordered it.

The moral of the story is, whatever you decide to buy, research it first for complaints, defects, sizing oddities, etc. I just google in the brand and model of every item I am thinking about ordering and see what there is to learn. You get everything from places to buy it, to consumer reviews & complaints. All good stuff to know.

Good luck!

I have JR Alter Ego pants...they fit great, and they have a removeable liner and venting. No complaints here!

Try that place. I did some extensive digging and this guy seems to have (from what I can see) the best prices out there. He was really good about s/h with it as well. I got all my bike gear thru him. Seems to carry all the well-know names too. As for returns, he will take back anything he sells.

Well, not sure if this will be helpful or not... If you have a Cycle Gear in your area, although they don't carry much in the way of pants in stock, they can order in anything that's made. 50% deposit, and if it doesn't work, no restocking fee. They'll work with you on the price too. They usually have 10 or 20% coupons floating around anyway, and at least at the one I go to, they'll let you apply it towards those special orders. I know they have a website too, but not sure about their return policies on-line. Good luck!

i happen to know that Alpinestars gear can run a tid bit small sometimes so what acalliste was saying about the "real world" sizing chart would be useful here.

I decided to buy the venom Teknic leather pants. I want to buy the jacket as well, but will do so at a later date. Any of you have the Tekin Venom leather pants or jacket??

I've got the Venom two-piece suit. I love it, but I'm probably going to buy a one-piece suit pretty soon. I'll use the two piece as a spare suit and for street use. It's starting to feel a little loose, and I want to get something that fits better for track days.
