Default Aaargh!!

So I left my buddy's house tonight. While there he showed me how to kill the headlight while the bike is in motion. Great for running from cops I guess, but my ass wants EVERYone to see me. However while doing so, looks like I found my problem my dad saw on saturday coming back from EDR. Headlight went out but all the other lights were on and running. Gauge cluster and everything. So checked fuses, all were on and hot. So I'll be printing the wiring diagram and checking it out later this week. While on my way home, headlight went out 3 times. OF course the first was right at a corner, under a LOT of tree cover. I LOVE riding blind. UGH..

So why stop there karma / god / buddah WHATever said.. was coming in low on this corner by my house.. but usually I have speed going into it. This #($&#(* oversized, small penis truck slowed WAY down on the corner, thus making me slow way down, BUT at that speed counter-steering doesn't work, thus bike became unstable. And just to add a bit more excitment; RIGHT as I was trying to slow down on this corner, rear tire hits this BIG rock in the middle of the bloody road, and shot the bike out from under me. Threw out leg, helped hold it up while I hit gas to pull / straighten up bike.. everything worked out. Then the fucker just stops and turns at these apts like a block from the corner!!

SO back is hurting like shit, from catching asphalt and pushing bike back up. I swear i'll be eating Motrin IB like Skittles. *shakes head*.

Not too mention as I was starting to low-side i SO thought motocross as i threw my leg out to hold it upright just long enough to throttle out. to you BlndBomber! lol

Sorry had to gripe.. and now back to your regularly scheduled program..

Damn girl. So, bottom line, you didn't wreck but you are sore from preventing yourself from going down. Glad you are sort of ok.

Now get that headlight fixed!

Me to!! As for the headlight, I see a "wrench night" in my future when I get home. At times I SO wish for my dad's naked bike.. *shakes head*

WOW! I am glad you made it (virtually) unscathed!!!! When in doubt, gas it! GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
You should be damn proud of yourself for not freezing up, nailing the brakes only to come crashing down. So eat the motrin with a sense of pride...they tried to take you out but it didn't work.
Rock on sista!!!

At least if that falls I'm not looking at 400+ lbs crashing down on my leg, and less than $1000+ in plastic bits to replace

Yeah...odds are that you won't snap your leg in half when you try sticking it out too.....dirtbikes rock....AND they significantly improve your overall riding abilities.
Next week the Hubby and I are going to Michigan. We are going to trail ride for the first time. I cannot wait. I'll actually get to twist the throttle on the 250F!

I agree wholeheartedly on the dirtbike thing. I learned on one of those before going on the road, and it definitely helps with the reflexes. Give it gas, or lose your ass! That also worked with a dump truck I drove a few years back; I had to go around some dumb twat sitting in the middle of the road, and in doing so got into some soft stuff on the shoulder. The truck tipped sideways at a very sickening angle; I immediately flipped the switch for the inter-lock axle, engaging the posi, and booted it. I spared myself rolling a fully loaded truck, and it took me an hour for my stomach to finally find the place it was supposed to be.
Good for you Belle! I'm glad you spared your hiney as well as your scoot. Both could have been badly massacred in that flop....wish you a speedy recovery, and rubber side down!
